Kilka miesięcy temu rozpoczęliśmy pracę nad nową płytą – kolejną, która ma zasadniczy związek z miejscem, które nazwaliśmy Biotop Lechnica. “Throbbing Plants”, czyli “pulsujące rośliny” wpisują się w zainicjowany przez nas kiedyś cykl “Biomusic”. Wydaliśmy w tym cyklu płyty, które różnią się nieco od regularnych płyt Projektu Karpaty Magiczne tym, że ich związek ze sferą naturalnych brzmień jest znacznie mocniejszy (choć i na naszych regularnych płytach da się odnaleźć sporo takich elementów). Tym razem jednak jest jeszcze jedna różnica: Throbbing Plants nagraliśmy całkowicie we dwójkę. Jest to płyta z opowieściami, które urodziły się w Biotopie Lechnica. Wzięły się z intensywnego słuchania i są próbą ujawnienia głosu otaczającego nas w Biotopie życia. Nigdy chyba do tej pory tak mocno nie eksplorowaliśmy ścieżki spoken word – tym razem okazała się to być jedyna forma, która mogła pomieścić opowieści wzięte ze snów śnionych przez nas wspólnie z ogrodem, drzewami, sarnami i innymi mieszkańcami Biotopu.

To opowieść o wdzięczności, poszukiwaniu światła, o tym, skąd bierze się siła i o tym, jak rośliny wrastają w nasze sny.

Tą historią żegnamy się z Marcinem. I dziękujemy.

A few month ago we started working on a new album – another one strongly inspired by the place we called Biotop Lechnica. “Throbbing Plants” belongs to the “Biomusic” series within which we have released the albums a bit different than the regular Magic Carpathians’ staff. “Biomusic” has very strong connections to the natural world and its aural quality (even if such audiosphere is present also on the regular albums of Magic Carpathians). This time there is yet another difference:  we have recorded “Throbbing Plants” entirely as a duo and it contains the stories that came to being in Biotop Lechnica. They originated in the process of deep listening to the direct surroundings and as such they can be seen as an attempt at making heard the voice of the life around us. So far we’ve never explored spoken word in such an intensive way, yet for the purpose of this project it seemed the most suitable way of conveying the stories that come from the dreams weaving us together with the garden, trees, deers and other non-human Biotop’s inhabitants.

This is the story about gratitude, about seeking the Light, about where the strength comes from and how plants grow into our dreams.

The stories are in Polish, my native tongue but gradually I’ll try to transfer most of its meaning to English.
